The Challenge

The goal of the experiment is to encourage shoppers with 2nd-item ATC as what we have observed was that most users would normally buy 2 bottles on Montigo to reach free shipping and further discounts. With the two pop-ups added, we aim to ease up the user journey and make it more reasonable for shoppers to buy the 2nd bottle.

Strategy

The team experimented with one variation where two pop-ups were introduced to users after clicking on the Add to Cart button. 

This is how the control and variations looked in the mobile:

Experiment was a success. With the implementation of two pop-ups, we observed that the convenient bundle mechanism display increased products sold by 11%. Another finding was that every 6 out of 10 users would convert and add their second selection into the cart through the pop-ups.
